GENERAL REFERENCES
Public parking fields — See Ch. 80.
In order to safeguard the health and welfare of residents of the Town of Hempstead, it shall be unlawful and a traffic infraction, when official signs giving notice thereon have been posted, for any person to fail or refuse to comply with the following regulations:
A. 
Oceanside. [As last amended 8-22-1995 by L.L. No. 57-1995, effective 8-28-1995]
(1) 
Oceanside Plaza, southeast corner of Long Beach Road and Windsor Parkway. The following regulations shall apply within the perimeter of Oceanside Plaza:
(a) 
There shall be a speed limit of 15 miles per hour.
(b) 
Operators of all vehicles shall park their vehicles only within the boundary lines of designated stalls and nowhere else. Operators of all vehicles shall observe the regulation of head-in parking only.
(c) 
All operators of motorcycles shall observe a prohibition against parking more than two motorcycles within the boundary lines of a designated parking shall.
(d) 
There shall be no stopping a vehicle at any time along the east side of Oceanside Plaza, starting at the northeast corner and running thence south for a distance of 200 feet.
(e) 
All vehicular traffic eastbound through the entrance opposite Weidner Avenue shall be prohibited from making left turns northbound into the first travel aisle of the parking field from Long Beach Road.
(f) 
There shall be no motorcycle parking anytime in designated areas.
(g) 
There shall be a limit of one-hour parking of motor vehicles between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
(h) 
There shall be no commercial vehicle parking in the rear parking area.
(2) 
South Nassau Communities Hospital, Oceanside Road. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
All traffic exiting from the driveway located on the west side of South Nassau Communities Hospital proceeding in a westerly direction shall come to a full stop prior to entering onto Oceanside Road.
(b) 
Operators of vehicles shall park their vehicles only within the boundary lines of designated stalls and not elsewhere.
(3) 
Middle Bay Condominium, Nicole Court. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
Operators of vehicles shall park their vehicles only within the boundary lines of designated stalls and not in the roadway.
(4) 
Foodtown, east side of Long Beach Road between Foxhurst Road and Castleton Court. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
Operators of vehicles shall park their vehicles only within the boundary lines of designated stalls and not in the driveways.
(5) 
Oceanside Deluxe Shopping Center, northwest corner of Merrick Road and Alexandra Place. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
Vehicles exiting from the driveway located on Alexandra Place, 100 feet north of Merrick Road, shall be prohibited from turning left onto Alexandra Place.
(6) 
Alhambra Condominium Parking Area. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
All vehicles shall park in designated parking stalls only.
(b) 
Along private driveway located on the west side of Long Beach Road, 300 feet south of the south curbline of West Henrietta Avenue: no stopping any time on the north side, starting six feet west of the west curbline of Long Beach Road, west for a distance of 180 feet.
(c) 
Along private driveway, located on west side of Long Beach Road, 300 feet south of the south curbline of West Henrietta Avenue: no stopping any time on the south side, starting six feet west of the west curbline of Long Beach Road, west for a distance of 180 feet.
(7) 
Caldor Shopping Center, west side of Long Beach Road, north of Daly Boulevard. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
No commercial parking from 9:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.
(8) 
Sands Shopping Center, Long Beach Road and Mott Street. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
No stopping anytime, starting at a point 30 feet east of the east curbline of Long Beach Road, 907 feet south of the south curbline of Mott Street, east for a distance of 406 feet, then northeast for a distance of 25 feet, then north for a distance of 570 feet, then east for a distance of 113 feet.
(b) 
No parking anytime, starting at a point 567 feet east of the east curbline of Long Beach Road, 412 feet south of the south curbline of Mott Street, south for a distance of 606 feet.
(c) 
No left turn at north exit (Mott Street).
(9) 
Oceanside Cove Co-op, 100 Daly Boulevard. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
Operators of vehicles shall park their vehicles only within the boundary lines of designated stalls and not in the roadway.
B. 
North Valley Stream.
(1) 
Key Food Parking Lot, Central Avenue. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
All vehicular traffic exiting onto Central Avenue shall come to a complete stop prior to exiting the parking lot.
C. 
Woodmere.
(1) 
Woodmere Mews Residential Complex, Broadway. The following regulations shall apply:
(a) 
No through traffic shall be permitted on the driveway entrance to the Woodmere Mews Residential Complex located at 920 Broadway, Woodmere.
D. 
Garden City.

All southbound traffic on the east service road within the parking lot of 711 Stewart Avenue shall come to a full stop.

All southbound traffic of the west service road within the parking lot of 711 Stewart Avenue shall come to a full stop.
(c) 
All northbound traffic on the east service road within the parking lot of 711 Stewart Avenue shall come to a full stop prior to entering onto the south service road of Roosevelt Field Shopping Center.

Operators of vehicles shall park their vehicles only within boundary lines of designated stalls and not in the driveway located opposite the west building entrance.
(e) 
Vehicles exiting the east service road at Stewart Avenue shall be prohibited from turning left.

All traffic exiting the tiered parking lot opposite Admiral Lane shall come to a full stop prior to entering onto Glenn Curtis Boulevard.
(2) 
Nassau Road Shopping Center, Nassau Road: right turn only on the east side, at the south entrance-exit to Nassau Road Shopping Center; all traffic egressing from the parking lot shall turn right only.

Any person committing an offense against any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a traffic infraction, punishable by a fine not exceeding $200 for each such offense.
