Borough of Steelton, PA Article VIII Abatement of Rentals or Charges

§ 90-104 No abatement except for physical disconnection.

There shall be no abatement of sewer rentals or service charges imposed by this chapter unless the property for which an abatement has been requested has been physically disconnected from the sewer system in a manner satisfactory to the Borough.

§ 90-105 Dischargeless EDU rental or charges.

A. A reduced rental rate (known as a "dischargeless EDU") shall be applicable for structures or properties that will be vacant for a period of three months or longer.

B. A written request to the Borough will be reviewed, and, if appropriate, will be granted for dischargeless EDUs. The dischargeless EDU rate will be set as listed in the Rate Schedule.

C. If the property becomes occupied before the required three months, the property owner will be responsible for the full amount of sewer rental due during the dischargeless EDU rate period.
