An annual licensing fee of $100 shall be paid by any person, firm or corporation engaging in or working at the business of plumbing and house drainage work in the Borough.

The following fees shall be paid for permit and inspection charges under the provisions of this chapter before commencing any plumbing or drainage work within the Borough of Parkside:
A. 
For residential work.
(1) 
Cost of job, $1 to $1,000: fee of $50.
(2) 
Per $1,000 of the fair market value of the cost of the job thereafter: $50.
(3) 
The above fees paid for permit and inspection charges shall be doubled for any plumbing or drainage work performed prior to the payment and receipt of an approved permit from the Borough.
B. 
The fees for all plumbing, mechanical, electrical, construction, demolition and building permits for a commercial property shall be double the costs as calculated in the above fee schedules for a residential property. However, all properties that abut Edgmont Avenue in the Borough's C-1 Commercial District and whose use provides for retail, service and other commercial establishments provided for in the C-1 Zoning District, shall for a period of one year hereof be charged a fee for all mechanical, electrical, construction, demolition and building permits equal to that as calculated in the fee schedule for a residential property.
C. 
Reinspections: $50 per each reinspection.
D. 
Any Parkside resident 65 years or older, military veteran, or disabled person may apply for one permit within a calendar year for a 50% discount off any building, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC permit. Qualified residents shall show proof of ownership of property, veteran status, or disability confirmation.
