It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings
of the Company, impartially enforce the bylaws, and to appoint all
committees. Except in the case of standing committees, all members
of such and/or changes thereto shall be approved by a majority vote
of the Fire Company at any regular or special meeting called for such
purpose.
It shall be the duty of the Vice President to perform all duties
of the President in case of his absence.

It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to keep a correct record
of all monies received and expended by him and to render a written
report at each annual meeting. The Treasurer shall be bonded by the
Fire Company. He shall be Treasurer Pro Tem of all outstanding committees
handling monies. The Treasurer shall receive a donation of $125 per
annum.

It shall be the duty of the Secretary to call the roll of members
at every meeting and to record the proceedings of the meeting. He
shall keep the books and shall file the papers pertaining to his office.
He shall attend to all correspondence. He shall submit a report at
the annual meeting. The Secretary or acting officers at the fire shall
take roll call. The Secretary shall collect all dues and debts due
the Company and shall pay the money so received over to the Treasurer.
He shall perform such other duties as hereinafter provided or ordered
by the Company, and he shall receive a donation of $125 per annum.

The Chief shall have command of the Company at fires and schools
of instruction and shall see that members perform their duties thereat.
He shall be responsible for the proper maintenance of the firehouse
and shall see to it that the apparatus and appliances of the Company
are in good condition and ready for service at all times. It shall
be the duty of the Chief to appoint three Deputy Chiefs. He shall
have power to suspend any member refusing to do his duty, subject
to the action of the organization at its next meeting. In the absence
of the President and the Vice President, he shall preside at meetings
of the Company, or he may delegate this authority to some other member
of the Company. The Chief shall have power to call annual inspection
of the Company. The Chief shall receive $200 per annum.
Both Assistant Chiefs shall assist the Chief in the performance
of his duties. In the absence of the Chief, the First Assistant Chief
shall perform his duties, and in the absence of both the Chief and
the First Assistant Chief, the Second Assistant Chief shall act as
Chief.
It shall be the duty of the Captains to assist at all fires
and parades and to act under and pursuant to the directions of the
Chief and the First and Second Assistant Chiefs or any of the Deputy
Chiefs. The Captains shall appoint four Lieutenants with the approval
of the Fire Chief and First and Second Assistant Chiefs.
The Directors shall have such powers as are conferred by law
upon directors of membership corporations. It shall be their duty
to guide the membership in the conduct of their business and to act
for the Company on matters when time is of the essence. The Directors
are to audit all Company books every six months and report to the
Company.
Delegates and alternates elected by the Fire Company to represent
them at state, district or county level shall be entitled to receive
a remuneration toward expenses incurred at same, which must be approved
by the Company. Delegates and alternates of the Oneida County Association
shall serve for a period of four years upon election.
It shall be the duty of the Chaplains to direct the spiritual
guidance of the Fire Company.
