The provisions of N.J.S.A. 26:3-9 establishing a local Board
of Health within the Township of Barnegat are hereby implemented.

The local Board of Health shall be composed of the members of
the Township Committee, the Township Clerk and the Township Physician.

Members of the governing body shall serve as members of the
local Board of Health as shall the Municipal Clerk and the Municipal
Physician.

The term of office of the Township Committee members of the
Board of Health shall run concurrently with their terms as Township
Committee persons. The same shall affect the term of the Municipal
Clerk and the Municipal Physician.

Said local Board of Health shall appoint, on the day of its
organization, a place, day and hour for the regular meeting of the
Board for the hearing of complaints, reports and general business
and shall cause to be published in the legal newspaper of this municipality
notice of the same. At least one (1) regular meeting of the Board
shall be held each year. Special meetings of said Board may be called
at any time by any three (3) members of the local Board or by the
State Department of Health.
The members of the local Board of Health shall receive no salary
or compensation for their services.
Upon the appointment and confirmation of the members of the
new Board, the Township Clerk shall notify each appointee of his appointment
and see that he is properly inducted into office.
The present local Board of Health shall retire simultaneously
with the organization and qualification of the new Board provided
for herein.
Upon the induction of the members of the new Board into office,
and upon the organization of the new Board, it shall take over, assume
and perform all the duties, obligations and responsibilities of the
local Board of Health of this municipality, as established by law,
ordinance or otherwise.

This ordinance repeals any inconsistent ordinance or ordinances
or part or parts thereof.
