Editor's Note: The preamble of the ordinance which adopted
this chapter provided as follows:
"WHEREAS, the Township Committee of the Township of Dennis,
having previously ordered an investigation into the recreation needs
for the township; and
"WHEREAS, the Township Committee having received and reviewed
the Recreation Capital Improvement Program for Dennis Township, dated
July 19, 1991, as prepared by the Dennis Township Engineer, Richard
L. Carter, P.E., P.P., and as more fully indicated within that capital
improvement program, which program includes specific site location
recommendations; and
"WHEREAS, the Recreation Capital Improvement Program is intended
to be a guideline, all development of sites shall be reviewed by the
Township Committee prior to any expenditures by the township; and
"WHEREAS. The Township Committee having heard input from members
of the public and deeming it prudent and necessary to the development
of Dennis Township that a Recreation Capital Improvement Program be
put in place."
The Township of Dennis determines that the following sites are
designated as important to recreational activities of the Township
of Dennis and are to be developed in accordance with the needs of
the township:

This chapter shall be liberally construed in order that the
ends of the furtherment and betterment of recreational programs within
the Township of Dennis shall be accomplished.
