§ 10-27 Creation; appointment.

There is created the office of the Deputy City Clerk. The Deputy City Clerk shall be appointed by the City Council.

The Deputy City Clerk shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council, except as otherwise provided by law.

§ 10-29 Powers and duties.

The Deputy City Clerk shall have all the powers and perform all the duties of the City Clerk during such time and at such specific periods as the City Clerk is absent and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as the City Clerk may delegate to him or her.
