As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
HOUSE BOAT
A waterborne vehicle or boat fitted for living accommodations.

TRAILER or HOUSE CAR
Any vehicle used, designed or intended to be used as a conveyance upon the public streets, highways or alleys, whether so used or not. It includes self-propelled and non-self-propelled vehicles so designed, constructed, reconstructed or added to by means of portable wheels as to permit occupancy as a dwelling or sleeping place for one or more persons, and having no foundation other than wheels, jacks, or skirtings, or platform or support of any nature so arranged as to be portable. The maintenance of a house trailer or similar vehicle on a floating platform shall under no circumstances be permitted.
The parking for use as living quarters of any trailer or house car within the City shall be unlawful.

A house boat shall not be used for permanent living quarters within the boundaries of the City. Occupancy of any such house boat for a period exceeding 30 days shall be prima facie evidence of a violation of this chapter.
