This chapter shall apply to all parks and playgrounds
owned, leased, operated or controlled by the Village of Waterford.

A. Use of Village parks and playgrounds shall be subject
to the following rules and regulations, which shall apply to any person
visiting, using or upon any part of them:
(1) Playgrounds shall be open only from 7:00 a.m. to dusk
each day and shall not be used, visited or occupied at other times
except for officially sanctioned Town or Village activities.
(2) Parks shall be open only from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
each day and shall not be used, visited or occupied at other times.
(3) Village trails shall be only open from dawn until
dusk each day and shall not be used, visited or occupied at other
times.
(4) No motorbike or motor-propelled vehicle of any type
shall be permitted in any park or playground or on any Village trail.
(5) Littering is prohibited in parks and playgrounds and
on trails, and disposal of any materials may be accomplished within
parks or playgrounds or on trails only in receptacles provided by
the Village.
(6) Allowing dogs to defecate or dig in Village parks
or playgrounds or on Village trails is prohibited.
(7) In this section, "dawn" is defined as 1/2 hour before
sunrise and "dusk" is defined as 1/2 hour before sunset.
(8) Open fires are prohibited at all times in parks and
playgrounds and on trails.
(9) Village-owned basketball courts and tennis courts
may be used only by Village residents, guests of Village residents
and persons participating in Village-sanctioned activities. Use of
Village-owned basketball and tennis courts by nonresidents of the
Village of Waterford is otherwise prohibited. No more than two nonresidents
may use a Village tennis court or basketball court as a guest of a
Village resident.

B. Failure to observe any of the rules and regulations
set forth in this section shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
A violation of this chapter shall constitute
an offense punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment
for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
