No person shall bathe, wade or swim in the bathing
area, except in such places and at such times and under such conditions
as the Board of Trustees may designate.
No person shall dress or undress in the playground,
except in such bathhouses or dressing rooms as shall be maintained
by the Board of Trustees.
No person shall use tubes, floats, surfboards,
swim fins, aqualungs or skin diving equipment of any kind, or any
other inflated or buoyant objects or artificial or mechanical aids
or devices for swimming or diving, in the bathing area, except as

[Amended 12-20-1977 by L.L. No. 8-1977]
A. No admission may be permitted to the swimming pool
facility except on presentation of official identification. Guests
must be accompanied by an adult member of the family to whom identification
was issued. Identification is not transferable or redeemable.
B. No person, nor the members of such person's family,
may be eligible for pool membership unless he or they reside within
the Incorporated Village of Floral Park, New York. Applications for
membership will be accepted from all residents of the village on a
first-come, first-served basis. However, the total number of applications
received may be limited by regulations established by the Board of
Trustees in order to assure the safe conduct of all members with respect
to the utilization of the swimming pool facility. Since the swimming
pool facility was erected to be essentially a self-sustaining operation,
the Board of Trustees may, by resolution, permit nonresident membership
in the event that insufficient applications are received from residents.
Such resolution shall establish the geographical area from which such
nonresidents may reside for membership purposes and the terms and
conditions under which such nonresident membership can be effectuated.
C. The Board of Trustees may, from time to time, adopt
rules and regulations governing the operation of the swimming pool
facility in order to assure that matters of public health and safety
shall be maintained at all times during the operation of the pool.
[Amended 10-20-1981 by L.L. No. 9-1981]
No person shall bring any glass bottle or piece
of crockery, or any glass or glassware or any part thereof, into the

No camp, tent, shelter, lean-to or structure
of any kind, including the conventional beach umbrella, shall be erected
or maintained in the playground, except under permit and at such particular
places and for such specified periods as may be designated.
The use of recreation facilities will be regulated
by the Board of Trustees so as to prevent congestion and so as to
distribute patrons of the playground over the playground areas in
order to ensure the maximum use of the playground areas and in behalf
of the comfort of said patrons. All patrons must, at all times, comply
with the directions of the playground attendants and the Board of
Trustee's directions. All organized picnics or outings shall obtain
special permits from the Board of Trustees prior to their arrival
at the playground.
No person shall throw, cast, catch, kick or
strike any baseball, golf ball, football, basketball, bean bag or

declaration or appeal of any kind or description; exhibit any dramatic
performance, or the performance in whole or in part of any interlude,
tragedy, comedy, opera, ballet, play, farce, minstrelsy, dancing,
entertainment, motion picture, public fair, circus, juggling, ropewalking
or any other acrobatics or show of any kind or nature. No parade,
drill or maneuver of any kind shall be conducted, nor shall any procession
form for parade or proceed in the playground without a permit.
No person shall use roller skates except at
such places as may be designated therefor, or skate, sled, walk or
go upon any ice, or snowshoe or ski except at such times and upon
such places as may be designated therefor and until such ice is declared
by or under the authority of the Board of Trustees to be in a safe
condition therefor; nor will the towing of persons on skis, sleds,
etc., be allowed.
Motor vehicles shall be prohibited from any
part of the playground, except those designated as parking fields
or approaches or exit routes. Nothing herein shall apply to the wagons,
trucks or apparatus of a fire department, insurance patrol, police
department, ambulance or emergency repair wagons when responding for
emergency work or village vehicles on official business.
No person shall bring beer or other alcoholic
beverages into the playground.
No person shall, in any part of the playground,
engage in toy or model aviation, kite flying, model boating or model
automobiling, except as may be specifically authorized by the Board
of Trustees.
Any person picking up or taking possession of
lost or mislaid money or personal property or money or property of
which such person is not the owner shall deliver same immediately
to the office of the pool director or playground attendant.
