Any person who commits any of the following ordinance violations in the Borough of Glenolden shall have the privilege of paying a fine in the amount of $5 to the Chief of Police of the Borough of Glenolden, which said fine shall be in satisfaction of any penalty which might be imposed under the provisions of said ordinance which has been violated, so long as said fine is paid to the Chief of Police within 48 hours from the time of a ticket issuance for said violation:

Ordinance No. 541 prohibiting the running at large of dogs.[1]

The Chief of Police of the Borough of Glenolden is hereby authorized to accept the sum as set forth in § 74-1 hereof as a fine for the violation of said ordinances.
In the event that the person who violates the said ordinances as set forth in § 74-1 hereof fails to pay the fine as provided in § 74-1 within 48 hours from the time of issuance of the said ticket, summary proceedings shall be instituted for violation of the pertinent provisions of the said ordinance or ordinances which have been violated in accordance with the provisions thereof.
