The installation, replacement, and/or functional repair of retractable,
roll-up metal security screens, walls, or similar devices on the exterior
commercial buildings in the Borough's Commercial Zoning Districts is
hereby prohibited.
All existing and currently functioning retractable, roll-up metal security
screens, walls, or similar devices may remain in place provided that the housing
for same, while in its retracted position, is covered by an appropriate awning
or similar aesthetic covering within 60 days of the effective date of this
chapter.
Notwithstanding the forgoing, the installation of retractable, roll-up
metal security screens, walls, or similar devices on the interior of windows
and doors to commercial buildings shall not be prohibited hereby.
