[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Health of the Borough of Carteret 6-9-1978 as Art. XXII of the 1978 Revised Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
A code regulating health and sanitation within the State of New Jersey and fixing penalties for violations thereof pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:1A-7 and N.J.S.A. 26:1A-10 is hereby adopted. A copy of said code is annexed hereto and made a part hereof without inclusion of the text thereof herein.
The code established and adopted by this chapter is described and commonly known as the "New Jersey State Sanitary Code," together with all regulations and Chapters 1 through 14, and amendments or supplements thereto, as promulgated by the Public Health Council and the State Department of Health pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:1A-7.
Three (3) copies of said New Jersey Sanitary Code have been placed on file in the office of the Secretary of this Board of Health upon the introduction of this chapter and will remain on file in said office for use and examination by the public.
Any person or persons, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter or the New Jersey Sanitary Code or amendments or supplements thereto shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a penalty of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.). Each day a particular violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
