Owners and tenants of lands within the Township
of Wyckoff shall keep all brush, hedges and other plant life growing
within 10 feet of any roadway and/or within 25 feet of the intersection
of any two roadways cut to a height of not more than 2 1/2 feet,
and such owners or tenants shall not permit or allow vehicles, trailers,
snow piles or other visibility obstructions on their lands within
25 feet of the intersection of any two roadways. Notwithstanding the
above, the Township shall have the right to require an owner and/or
tenant to abate any visibility obstruction.
Owners and tenants of lands within the Township
of Wyckoff shall remove limbs less than eight feet above street grade
from all trees growing within 10 feet of any roadway and within 25
feet of the intersection of any two roadways.
The aforesaid cutting and trimming shall be
completed by said owners or tenants within 10 days after notice by
the Township of Wyckoff to cut or trim as provided above.
Where any owner or tenant shall have refused
or neglected to cut or trim as provided above and within the time
provided above, the Township of Wyckoff may provide for the cutting
of same by or under the direction of the Wyckoff Chief of Police.
In all cases where brush, hedges, other plant
life are cut or trimmed from any lands as provided above by or under
the direction of the Wyckoff Chief of Police, the Chief of Police
shall certify the cost thereof to the Township Committee, which shall
examine the certificate and, if found correct, shall cause the cost
as shown thereon to be charged against said lands, or in the event
such cost is excessive, shall cause the reasonable cost thereof to
be charged against said lands. The amount so charged shall forthwith
become a lien upon such lands and shall be added to and form part
of the tax next to be assessed and levied upon said lands. The same
shall bear interest the same as other taxes and shall be collected
and enforced by the same officers and in the same manner as other
taxes and as authorized by N.J.S.A. 40:48-2.27.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this chapter, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject
to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days,
or both, for each violation. Each day any such violation is permitted
to exist shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
as heretofore provided.
