Where any person violates the provisions of Section 5 of Wyckoff Ordinance No. 600[1] or attempts to connect to a sanitary sewer system other than the Wyckoff sewer system or the North-west Bergen County sewer system without written permission from the Township of Wyckoff, the Wyckoff Board of Health shall have power to act pursuant to the provisions of this chapter and N.J.S.A. 26:3-31.

If any person owning property along the line of any sewer fails to connect his house or other building with such sewer after issuance of an order pursuant to the authority of this chapter and N.J.S.A. 26:3-31d within 30 days after notice by the proper officer of the Wyckoff Board of Health to make such connection, such person shall be subject to the fine provided for in § 216-4.

It is hereby determined that the proper officer of the Wyckoff Board of Health to give notice referred to herein as the: Township Engineer, the Wyckoff Health Officer or his/her designee or in his/her absence, any member of the Wyckoff Board of Health is hereby authorized to give such notice. Notice may be served upon the owner personally or by leaving the notice at their usual place of abode with a member of the family above the age of 18 years old.
Any person who shall not comply with any order issued pursuant to this chapter and under the authority of N.J.S.A. 26:3-31d within 30 days after notice by the proper officer of the Wyckoff Board of Health to make the required connection or connections shall be subject to a fine of $25, and an additional fine of $10 is hereby provided for each day of delay, after the expiration of the 30 days, in which the provisions of the order or notice are not complied with.
