GENERAL REFERENCES
Use of public property — See Ch. 224.
No person shall smoke or carry a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or match, or use any spark, flame or fire-producing device in any building owned or operated by the Borough. Smoking will not be allowed in enclosed areas used by the general public or serving as a place of work, including open office areas.
Smoking shall be specifically prohibited in the following areas within the Borough:
A. 
All Borough-owned buildings;
B. 
Any portion of the Borough Hall;
C. 
Any portion of the Borough Fire Hall;
D. 
Any portion of the Borough Police Department;
E. 
All open space that is accessed by the public.
Placards or signs reading "Smoking Prohibited by Law" shall be posted in all Borough-owned or -operated buildings.
Violation of this chapter shall be deemed a summary offense and shall result in a fine of $300. All fines shall be paid into the Borough treasury. Each day of continuing violation shall be deemed to be a separate violation.
