The Commercial Districts are intended
for various types of service uses, including retail sales, service
shops, and industrial activities to facilitate shopping and increase
employment potential while protecting residents from noise and other
inconveniences.

A. The principal permitted uses in the "C-1"
Commercial District shall be the following:
1.
Food stores and supermarkets, package
liquor stores.
3.
Personal service uses such as shoe
repair, barber and beauty shops, clinics, real estate insurance offices,
offices for doctors, dentists, and lawyers.
4.
Restaurants, taverns, and lounges.
6.
Household appliances, sales, and
repairs.
7.
Clothing and dry good stores.
8.
Furniture and home furnishings stores.
10.
Jewelry and watch repair shops.
11.
Sporting goods and hobby shops.
17.
Game rooms, pool halls, arcades.
19.
Newspaper offices, plants, and printing
shops.
21.
Auto repair stations, auto service
centers, and auto service stations.
24.
Farm implement and machinery sales.
26.
New and used car and truck sales.
27.
Trailer rental and sales.
28.
Building supply, lumber yards.
32.
Other shops, store, and uses which
may be deemed appropriate by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

A. The parking requirements for commercial
districts shall be as follows:
1.
Places Of Public Assembly. One (1)
parking space per each three hundred (300) feet of square footage.
B. The area requirements for commercial districts
shall be as follows:
1.
Front/side To Street. Must be within
four (4) feet of the established building line and may not project
in front of the established building line. Building line is established
by the average front setback of surrounding structures within three
hundred (300) feet or the closest two (2) structures, whichever is
most restrictive.
2.
Side. Five (5) feet. However, within
City blocks where existing buildings have been constructed with zero
(0) lot line on side yards, side yards are not required.
3.
Rear. Fifteen (15) feet from property
line or to the center of an alley, if an alley exists; except rear
must be twenty-five (25) feet from property line if back of property
abuts a residential zoning district.
