Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3), Wis. Stats., the Village of Fox Crossing is authorized to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan as defined in § 66.1001(1)(a) and (2), Wis. Stats.
The Village Board of the Village of Fox Crossing, Wisconsin, has adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation in every stage of the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan as required by § 66.1001(4)(a), Wis. Stats.
The Planning Commission of the Village of Fox Crossing, by a majority vote of the entire Commission, recorded in its official minutes, has recommended to the Village Board adoption of the document titled "Village of Fox Crossing Comprehensive Plan 2018-2038," containing all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2), Wis. Stats.
The Village has held one public hearing on this chapter, in compliance with § 66.1001(4)(d), Wis. Stats., on July 18, 2018.
The Comprehensive Plan may be used as the basis for, among other things, official mapping, local subdivision regulations, general zoning ordinances, shoreland/wetland zoning, and as a guide for approving or disapproving actions affecting growth, development, conservation, and recreation within the jurisdiction of the Village of Fox Crossing and its extraterritorial plat review area.
The Village Board, by enactment of this chapter, formally repeals and reenacts this chapter of the Village of Fox Crossing Municipal Code to replace the Village's prior Comprehensive Plan 2003-2023 with the Comprehensive Plan 2018-2038 as the official Comprehensive Plan of the Village.
