Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of Kenosha County, which prescribes a joint action emergency government, is made a part hereof by reference and is hereby ratified and accepted by the Village of Salem Lakes.
This ratification and acceptance shall constitute a mutual agreement between the Village of Salem Lakes, the County of Kenosha and each participating municipality, as provided by § 5.13(2) of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of Kenosha County.
The County Emergency Management Director, as appointed and employed by Kenosha County as prescribed in Chapter 5 of the County Code, is hereby designated and appointed Emergency Management Director for the Village of Salem Lakes, subject to the conditions and provisions as set forth in the Wisconsin Statutes and said County Code.
The Village Board shall appoint a Municipal Deputy Emergency Management Director to serve for an indefinite term at the pleasure of the Village Board. The Municipal Deputy Emergency Management Director shall coordinate the provision of emergency management services to the residents of the Village of Salem Lakes with the County Emergency Management Director, shall cooperate with County Emergency Management in providing such services and shall perform such other duties as required under the provisions of this chapter.
