[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Etna 10-13-1930 by Ord. No. 632 (Ch. I, Part 5, of the 1974 Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Etna Volunteer Fire Department Relief Association is hereby officially recognized as the relief fund association of all fire companies and fire associations of the said Borough.[1]

Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance stated that all the fire companies or fire associations of the Borough had jointly formed the Etna Volunteer Fire Department Relief Association, and that the Association had been duly organized, had elected proper officers, had adopted proper bylaws, and was functioning as a relief association for the Fire Departments of the Borough.
The proper officers of the Borough of Etna are hereby authorized and directed to turn over to the Etna Volunteer Fire Department Relief Association any and all moneys received by the said Borough or hereafter to be received by the said Borough pursuant to the provisions of Act No. 307 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, known as Act of 1929, P.L. 709.[1]

The proper officers of the Borough of Etna are hereby directed to keep separate and apart from all Borough funds any and all moneys received by said Borough or hereafter to be received from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania pursuant to the provisions of said Act of Assembly, namely Act of 1929, P.L. 709, and to turn all of said sum or sums now in their hands or hereafter received over to the said Etna Volunteer Fire Department Relief Association as the property of said Association.
