[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Etna 2-11-1957 by Ord. No. 859 (Ch. XI, Part 1, of the 1974 Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
It is hereby declared that the Borough of Etna will cease to exercise any of the public health functions vested in it by law and become subject to the jurisdiction of the Allegheny County Department of Health.[1]

Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance stated that, pursuant to the Local Health Administration Law of 1951, the County of Allegheny on January 1, 1957, established a Department of Health; that under the Local Health Administration Law any political subdivision may elect to become subject to the jurisdiction of the County Department of Health upon its establishment; and that it was deemed to be in the best interests of the people of the Borough that responsibility for the promotion and protection of the public health be so vested.
