The Borough of Etna, pursuant to Section 6 of the "Municipal Records Act," declares its intent to follow such schedule by municipal ordinance or resolution; and[1]

Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance stated that the Local Government Records Committee had approved and filed with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission a Municipal Records Retention and Disposition Schedule, pursuant to the Municipal Records Act of the Commonwealth, and quoted Section 6 of that Act, which authorized municipalities to declare intent to follow the schedule by municipal ordinance or resolution, with each individual act of disposition to be approved by resolution of the municipal governing body.
The Borough Secretary is authorized to submit from time to time resolution for the disposition of certain public records, archives or printed public documents, providing such dispositions are authorized by and in conformance with operative schedules approved by the Local Government Records Committee and on file with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
