There is hereby established within the City a Water and Wastewater
Department.

The Water and Wastewater Department shall be responsible for
the operation, maintenance and care of the water and wastewater systems,
and Weldon (Pete) Steiner Reservoir and all equipment and appurtenances
thereto.

A.
The
City Administrator shall recommend to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen,
some suitable person to serve as Water and Wastewater Superintendent.
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen shall approve or disapprove the person
recommended. The Water and Wastewater Superintendent shall serve at
the pleasure of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
B.
All
policies and procedures previously established or approved by the
Board of Public Works, which are not in conflict with rules, regulations
and ordinances of the City shall remain in full force and effect until
such time as they are changed or suspended.
