There is hereby constituted and created a Beach
Patrol in and for the City of North Wildwood, in the County of Cape
May and State of New Jersey, which Beach Patrol shall consist of a
Beach Director, a lifeguard captain and such lifeguard lieutenants,
lifeguards and lifeguard first aid attendants as shall be determined
and deemed necessary by the Public Safety Committee of the City of
North Wildwood to properly protect the lives of the citizens and visitors
of this City.
The Beach Patrol shall be under the supervision,
authority and control of the Public Safety Committee of the City Council.
The Public Safety Committee shall have full
power and authority to appoint, suspend, try and remove all members
of the Beach Patrol and to make, amend, repeal and enforce all rules
and regulations for the government, direction, management and discipline
of the Beach Patrol; but nothing herein shall be deemed to repeal
any of the existing rules and regulations of the existing Beach Patrol.
