Motor vehicles or motor buses engaged in the transportation of participants in a parade in the City of North Wildwood, which parade is authorized by permit of the city, which permit shall provide for the designated areas to be used for loading, unloading and parking of such motor vehicles or motor buses.
No person shall park a bus upon any of the streets in the City of North Wildwood at any time. Arrangements for the parking of buses shall be made, in advance, with the owner or operator of the hotel, motel, restaurant or similar location to which said bus is transporting its passengers.
Loading and unloading of buses shall be at the parking lot of the hotel, motel, restaurant or similar location unless such location does not have a parking lot, in which case said bus shall load and unload on an uncongested street other than the city streets running generally in a northeast/southwest direction. Such loading and unloading on a public street shall be concluded in a reasonable period of time, not to exceed 15 minutes. In no case shall the operator of a bus suffer, permit or allow said bus's engine to run during the process of loading and unloading or when parking or standing, except when standing in a line of traffic halted temporarily for purposes of traffic control. In the event that no satisfactory uncongested area for the loading and unloading of a bus is available, City Council may allow loading and unloading to take place at some other location at a particularly designated time, by permit upon application made in advance therefor.
The Police Department of the City of North Wildwood shall be responsible for the enforcement of this chapter and shall take all reasonable steps necessary to prevent violations hereof.
