As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
The rider or driver of a horse, bicycle or motor vehicle,
unless otherwise specified.
Every way or place of whatever nature, open to the use of
the public for purpose of vehicular traffic.
Every device in, upon or by which any person or property
is or may be transported upon a highway, except devices moved by human
power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks.

Parking a vehicle in front of a private driveway shall be permitted whenever both the motor vehicle and driveway involved are owned by the same person, whenever the motor vehicle is owned by a member of the same household as the owner of the private driveway, or whenever the owner of the private driveway authorizes the parking of a motor vehicle in front of the private driveway. In those areas described in §§ 418-15 and 418-16 where parking is at an angle and not parallel to the curb, no vehicle parked in front of any private driveway shall encroach on any sidewalk, bicycle lane or traffic lane.

The loading or unloading of trucks and delivery
cars shall be made with such trucks or cars parallel to the curb.
The parking or storing of automobile parts,
tools and equipment by garage keepers or any other person or persons,
firm or corporation on any of the public streets or sidewalks of the
said City of North Wildwood, New Jersey, is prohibited, and also the
placing of any "for sale" signs on any cars parked on any of the streets
or avenues, even though temporarily, is hereby prohibited.
The Mayor and City Council of the City of North
Wildwood shall have the power to order the diversion of vehicular
traffic at such time and places as, in his or its judgment, the necessity
therefor shall exist.

Taxi and bus stands shall be designated pursuant to §§ 418-19 and 418-63, respectively, of the Code of the City of North Wildwood.
It shall be unlawful to park vehicles in any
restricted zone or where there is a parking sign reading "no parking."
No vehicle shall be parked on any highway in
the City of North Wildwood, New Jersey, without lights, between sunset
and sunrise.

All vehicles permitted to park under the provisions of this article shall comply in all particulars with the laws of the State of New Jersey, and shall park with the front and rear wheels parallel with and within six inches of the curb, except where angle parking is permitted pursuant to §§ 418-15 and 418-16 of the Code of the City of North Wildwood.
Any person driving a vehicle on a highway shall
drive the same at a careful and prudent speed, not greater nor less
than is reasonable and proper, having due regard to the traffic, surface
and width of the highway and of any other conditions then existing,
and no person shall drive any vehicle upon a highway at such a speed
as to endanger the life, limb or property of any person.
In case of any accident arising to any person
or persons for any cause whatever in which an automobile or vehicle
is in collision with any other automobile or vehicle or other object,
then such accident must be at once reported by the parties involved
to the Police Department of the said City of North Wildwood, New Jersey,
at the City Hall in said city.

Any person, firm, partnership, corporation,
association or individual who shall violate any of the provisions
of this article shall, upon conviction thereof before a proper officer
having jurisdiction, be subject to a fine in any sum not exceeding
$1,250 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days, or both,
and any repetition of any act herein prohibited on any one day following
such conviction shall be deemed a new offense.
