As used in this Part 2, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
The Borough of Glenolden, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
An individual duly appointed by the Borough as an employee of the Borough who worked at least 35 hours per week in a capacity other than that of a police officer or fire fighter and who is entitled to participate in the supplemental medical benefit plan by virtue of having met the membership requirements of Article X.
The plan described in Article XIIIC, below.
The total period of full-time employment of a member by the
Borough as a nonuniformed full-time employee from date of hire to
date of termination of employment. Full-time employment shall include
time during which the member is absent from work on account of paid
vacation and paid illness and shall also include any other period
of time deemed by the Borough to constitute full-time employment.
Years of service shall include any period of time during which the
member serves in the armed forces of the United States, provided that
such military service commences after the member was employed by the
Borough and that the member is employed at least six months by the
Borough prior to such military service and that the member returns
to employment as a nonuniformed full-time Borough employee within
six months of termination of such military service.
