It shall be unlawful for any firm, corporation or individual to post,
paste, affix or fasten any printed, painted or written show bill, placard,
sign, circular or any other advertising matter upon any telegraph, telephone
or electric light pole, fence or tree in the Borough of Glenolden.

Any person violating the provisions of this article shall be punishable,
upon conviction thereof, by a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $50
and costs of prosecution and, upon default in payment of the fine and costs,
by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days.

It shall be the duty of the Police Committee to cause a thorough inspection
to be made at least once in every year of all telegraph, telephone, electric
light and trolley poles erected within the Borough limits, and if any poles
shall be found defective or dangerous from any cause, said Committee shall
notify the owner of such, who shall forthwith replace the same with a sound
pole, and if the said owner neglects or refuses to replace such defective
pole within 48 hours after receiving such notification, he or they shall be
liable to a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $50 and costs of prosecution
and, upon default in payment of the fine and costs, to imprisonment in the
county jail for not more than 30 days.

No telegraph pole or other similar pole shall be hereafter erected within
the limits of this Borough unless a license shall be first taken out as aforesaid.
Poles shall be erected at such points and of such character only as shall
be approved by the Police Committee.

No telegraph pole or other similar pole shall be erected or maintained within the corporate limits of the Borough of Glenolden unless an annual license for the maintenance thereof shall have been previously granted for the same in accordance with the provisions of §§
130-4 and
130-5. Any persons violating the provisions of this section shall be liable to a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $50 and costs of prosecution and, upon default in payment of the fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days.
In case the Borough of Glenolden shall desire to use any pole erected
or maintained under this article for any municipal purpose, it shall have
the right to the exclusive use free of charge of one arm of one crossbar upon
such poles, with the right to string wires therefrom.
