Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-139 and other applicable law of the State of New Jersey, the Township of Wyckoff hereby provides for the appointment of a Township Attorney.
The Township Attorney, who shall be an attorney at law of the State of New Jersey, shall be appointed annually by the Township Committee for a term of one year.
The Township Attorney shall give legal advice to the Township Commitee, represent the municipality in legal actions, prepare ordinances and resolutions and perform such other professional duties as may from time to time be requested by the Township Committee.
The Township Attorney shall receive compensation for his services within the limits of available appropriations.
