Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:145-14[1] and other applicable laws of the State of New Jersey, the Township of Wyckoff hereby provides for the appointment of a Township Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be the custodian of the moneys of the Township, and all moneys which the Township Committee is by law authorized to receive and disburse shall be paid to the Treasurer and disbursed only upon order of the Township Committee. The Treasurer shall cause to be kept an accurate account of all receipts and payments in such manner as the Township Committee may direct. The Treasurer shall also cause to be prepared such reports and perform such other duties as may be required by resolution of the Township Committee. The Township Treasurer need not be a resident of the municipality.
