There is hereby established within
the City a Utility Department which shall consist of the Electric
Division.

The Utility Department shall be responsible
for the operation, maintenance and care of the Electric System and
all equipment and appurtenances thereto.

A. The City Administrator shall recommend
to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, some suitable person to serve
as Utility Superintendent. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen shall approve
or disapprove the person recommended. The Utility Superintendent shall
serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
B. All policies and procedures previously
established or approved by the former Board of Public Works or the
Board of Aldermen, which are not in conflict with rules, regulations
and ordinances of the City shall remain in full force and effect until
such time as they are changed or suspended.
