A. 
Except as hereinafter provided, there shall be posted in the vestibule, hallway or other prominent place at or near all public entrances of any building containing five (5) or more dwelling units a directory designating each dwelling unit by number or letter and setting forth the last name or names of the tenant or tenants currently occupying the dwelling units.
B. 
On all premises containing five (5) or more dwelling units in two (2) or more separate buildings containing common areas and operated as a unit, a directory as described above shall be posted adjacent to each public sidewalk into the premises, provided that no more than three (3) such directories shall be required. Each directory shall be accompanied by a diagrammatic representation of the premises showing the location of the various buildings thereon, their designated numbers or letters and the designated numbers or letters of dwelling units therein. Each building shall be designated with its respective number or letter at a location clearly visible from the walkway or sidewalk adjacent thereto.
There shall be posted adjacent to or near the directory as aforesaid the name, address and telephone number of the owner of the premises and the name, address and telephone number of the superintendent and agent in charge of the premises and, where a resident on the premises, the apartment number of the superintendent and agent.
There shall be affixed to the front entrance of each dwelling unit, plainly visible from the common hallway or areaway, the number or letter which corresponds to that set forth in the directory as required under § 156-88.
