Whenever any words and phrases are used in this chapter, the meanings respectively ascribed in them in Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed to apply to such words and phrases used herein.
All former traffic ordinances of the City of Orange Township are hereby repealed, except for Section 22-27 of the 1969 Code of the City of Orange, entitled "Bus zones designated." This repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of this chapter.
If any part or parts of this chapter are held to be invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this chapter.

A. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute or by this chapter, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter or supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $500 or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months, or both.
B. 
The fine for a violation of Article XIII, Metered Parking, shall be $10.[1]
