Except as provided in this chapter, Chapter 7A of the California Building Code shall be adopted as part of the City's Building Code for the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and other structures in the City. Chapter 7A of the California Building Code is adopted by reference pursuant to § 50022.1 et seq. of the California Government Code. Except as otherwise provided by this chapter of the Municipal Code, all erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and other structures within the City shall be in conformance therewith. A copy of the Chapter 7A of the California Building Code shall be on file in the office of the Building Official for public inspection and is adopted with the same force and effect as though set out herein in full.
