The following rules and regulations for the use of parks and recreation facilities of the Borough of Cheswick are hereby adopted:
A. 
Parking shall be permitted in authorized areas only.
B. 
Riding a bicycle or motorized recreational vehicle shall not be permitted in park and recreational areas. Bicycles and motorized recreational vehicles are to be placed in racks that are provided.

C. 
Possession of intoxicating or other alcoholic beverages upon any part of the park and recreational areas is hereby expressly forbidden, as is the use thereof, except by governmental or other municipal agencies of the Borough of Cheswick.

D. 
No animals shall be allowed within the park and recreational areas.[1]

E. 
No person shall place rubbish in any area other than in the containers provided for the same.
F. 
Fires shall only be permitted in authorized areas, and all fires must be extinguished when use of the same is completed.
G. 
Organized ball playing shall not be permitted on Sundays.
H. 
No persons shall be permitted in park and recreational areas after 9:00 p.m., except persons on official business and persons attending organized parties or special occasions with prior permission of the Recreation Board.
I. 
No profane, indecent, abusive or insulting language shall be permitted within park and recreational areas.
J. 
Gambling or the possession of gambling devices in park and recreational areas is hereby expressly forbidden.
K. 
No person shall cut, break or in any way injure or deface the trees, shrubs, plants, turf or any of the buildings, fences, structures or statuary or places or throw anything whatever within the park and recreational areas.
L. 
No person shall offer for sale or rent any article whatever within park and recreational areas in the Borough of Cheswick without the consent of the Recreation Board previously obtained in writing.
M. 
No person shall post or fix any notice, bill or other writing or printing of any kind on any tree, lamppost, hydrant, curbstone, coping, flagstone, fence, wall, building or other place within park and recreational areas.
N. 
Tennis courts shall be available for tennis only to holders of permits for the use of said courts. Upon the expiration of the permitted time, players may continue to use the tennis courts until the appearance of the next permit holder, at which time the courts are to be vacated immediately.

O. 
No person shall be permitted on the tennis courts unless wearing rubber-soled tennis shoes.
P. 
Permits for use of the tennis courts during the summer recreation hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday, from June 16 to August 29, shall be issued by the Recreation Director at the park.
Q. 
Permits for the use of the tennis courts at other times and during weekends shall be issued by the Borough Secretary, Borough Building, only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday.
R. 
Throwing of stones onto the playing surfaces of the tennis courts or the depositing or placing of any other debris or rubbish thereon is hereby expressly forbidden, and the wearing of hard shoes on tennis courts is also forbidden.

S. 
The use of roller skates, rollerblades and skateboards shall not be permitted in park and recreational areas.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be punishable, upon conviction thereof, by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $1,000, and costs of prosecution, for each offense or, upon default in payment of the fine and costs, by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context:
PARK or PARKS
Unless specifically limited, includes all parks, playgrounds, recreation areas, tennis courts, recreation structures and facilities and also entrances to and exits from all such premises and all other land or property or structures under the jurisdiction of the Borough of Cheswick and/or owned by the Borough of Cheswick now or hereafter owned or acquired by the Borough of Cheswick for park or recreational purposes.
PERSON
Any natural person, corporation, organization of persons, company, association or partnership.
A. 
No person in attendance at a park or on the premises of any park or in the vicinity of any park shall feed, attempt to feed or distribute feed or food or otherwise attempt to entice to land or to remain any wild bird or wild animal of any description, either game or otherwise.
B. 
It is unlawful for any person to carry onto or possess in any park or recreational facility of the Borough of Cheswick any feed or food which is intended for wild bird or wild animal consumption.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $500 and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days.
