There is hereby established in the Town of Winchester a Conservation
Commission pursuant to the provisions of C.G.S. § 7-131a
for the development and conservation of natural resources, including
water resources, within the Town.
The Commission shall consist of seven members. Four of the members
first appointed shall hold office for four years and three of the
members first appointed shall hold office for two years, and thereafter
each new member shall be appointed for a term of four years. One alternate
first appointed shall hold office for four years and the other shall
hold office for two years, and thereafter each new alternate shall
be appointed for a term of four years.
