The Board of Selectmen are concerned that the general public have an additional opportunity to become aware of proposed changes to the regulations of Town boards and commissions.
In furthering this goal, all Town boards and commissions, including but not limited to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Inland Wetlands Commission and the Economic Development Commission, shall transmit the full text of proposed changes to their regulations to the Town Manager 12 days prior to a public hearing thereon, or, if no public hearing is held, 12 days prior to the adoption thereof. The Town Manager will arrange for publication of the full text or other publication as the Town Manager may deem appropriate in a manner likely to reach the general public.
Nothing in this article shall be deemed to affect in any way the validity of any regulation now or in the future that is passed in accordance with the notice requirements of the Connecticut General Statutes specifically set forth for a board or commission.
