In accordance with § 1005(7) of the Borough Code [8
Pa.C.S.A. § 1005(7)], Clearfield Borough hereby accepts
the provisions of said section and shall appoint an independent auditor
who either shall be a certified public accountant or a firm of certified
public accountants, registered in Pennsylvania, or a competent public
accountant or a competent firm of public accountants who shall be
appointed annually by resolution of the Borough of Clearfield before
the close of a fiscal year for the purpose of making an independent
examination of the accounting records of Clearfield Borough for such
fiscal year, as well as the performance of other duties and the exercise
of powers as conferred by the said Borough Code.
The office of elected Borough Auditor is hereby abolished, effective
immediately.
