On and after the first day of June 1866, no person shall be allowed to carry on the business of slaughtering cattle, sheep or hogs within the limits of this Borough.
Any person violating this chapter shall be fined for each offense in a sum not less than $5 nor more than $20, to be collected as other Borough fines are by law collected.
Provided, however, that this chapter is not intended to interfere with or prevent the butchering of hogs within the limits of the Borough during the winter season.
All persons offering meats for sale within the limits of said Borough shall be required to keep the same free from any impurities whatsoever.
