No building shall be occupied or permitted to be occupied as a rooming
house or tenement house unless the owner of such building shall have first
made application to the Board of Health for a license therefor. Such application
shall be made in writing and shall state the nature and extent of the applicant's
interest in the property, the name and address of the owner or his agent,
the location of the building, the use of which it is to be put and the number
of rooms to be occupied, and the width, length and height of each room. A
license shall be granted by the Board of Health after inspection and certification
by any authorized agent or inspector of said Board that the provisions of
this chapter have been complied with.
The fee for such license shall be $10 annually.
