The Juvenile Prosecution Unit is established as a specialized unit within the District Attorney's Office focusing on juvenile justice.
The Unit consists of a Special Deputy Prosecutor, Juvenile Investigator, an Executive Assistant and a full-time Secretary/Receptionist. The Unit's primary responsibilities are to conduct coordinated juvenile prosecutions, deliver victim/witness services, identify youth at risk, establish a database of separate juvenile prosecution information, train local Police Departments on juvenile justice issues, assist local Police Departments with criminal investigations involving juveniles and to act as an information hub to local juvenile service providers.
