Ordinance No. 1360 of 2015 is hereby repealed.
For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and terms
are defined as herein indicated:
AUTOMOBILE
Passenger vehicle, as defined in Section 102 of the Pennsylvania
Motor Vehicle Code Title 75.
CAREGIVER
Any person charged with the responsibility of rendering care
to the ill, infirm, disabled, etc. Examples would include, but not
be limited to, senior care, child care, nanny, hospice or home health
care nurse, etc.
COMPANY AUTOMOBILE
Passenger vehicle as defined in Section 102 of the Pennsylvania
Motor Vehicle Code Title 75, used in conjunction with the respective
applicant's employer.
HOUSEHOLD
Single-family dwelling, townhouse, duplex, individual apartment,
individual condominium, and any other residence that requires a separate
mailing address.
IMMEDIATE FAMILY
Immediate family consists of the resident's spouse,
children, mother, father, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law,
son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandfather or grandmother.
MOTORCYCLE
A motor vehicle having a seat or saddle for the use of the
rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact
with the ground.
NONRESIDENT
A licensed driver who does not reside in the designated parking
zone of the Borough of Etna and who has an inspected, insured and
operable vehicle registered in his or her own name.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
Any camper, trailer, boat or other wheeled vehicle designed
to be drawn by passenger automobile or other vehicle, and not primarily
designed for day-to-day passenger transport over the roadways. This
shall apply to any such recreational vehicle larger than seven feet
by 15 feet but not to exceed 10 feet by 20 feet.
REGISTERED VEHICLE
A vehicle with a current vehicle registration in accordance
with the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code, Title 75 Pa.C.S.A.
RELATIVE
Immediate family member, as defined herein, brother-in-law,
sister-in-law, uncle, aunt, first cousin, stepfather, stepbrother,
stepsister, stepson or stepdaughter.
RESIDENT
A licensed driver who resides in the Borough of Etna and
who has an inspected, insured and operable automobile or motorcycle,
currently registered in their own name or in the name of a relative
residing at the same address.
RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT
Duly authorized permit from the Borough of Etna, issued by
the administrator or his or her designee to a permit holder, allowing
on-street parking in the designated area.

This article of this chapter of the Borough of Etna Code establishes
a residential parking district encompassing the following streets
in the Borough of Etna: Lower Locust Street, between Walnut Street
and High Street; Locust Street on the even-numbered side (from High
Street to Maplewood Street); Locust Street on the odd-numbered side
(from Maplewood Street to Pine Street); and the odd-numbered side
of Pine Street; and all of Garrick Street; and Maplewood Street from
Locust Street to Garrick Street. Thus, Maplewood Street, from the
intersection of Garrick Street to Hickory Street, is excluded from
the Residential Permit Parking District. The address 111 Locust Street
is hereby included and made part of the Residential Permit Parking
District.
This article shall take effect immediately.
