[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of Gloucester City 12-6-1979 by Ord. No. 8-1979. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 55:14A-1 et seq., as
amended, the Local Housing Authorities Law of the State of New Jersey,
a body corporate and politic to be known as the "Gloucester City Housing
Authority" be and the same hereby is created and established.
Said Authority shall consist of seven Commissioners to be appointed
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 55:14A-4, as amended, in the following manner:
A.
The
Mayor and Common Council shall appoint five Commissioners for terms
not to exceed five years;
B.
The
Mayor shall appoint one additional Commissioner for a five-year term;
and
C.
The
Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs shall appoint
one local Commissioner who shall hold office at the pleasure of the
Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs.
The Clerk be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to file
a certified copy of this ordinance with the Commissioner of the Department
of Community Affairs.
