The City of Gloucester City hereby declares that, effective
immediately upon adoption of this ordinance, as a condition for the
issuance, reissuance or renewal of any licenses or permits, the taxes
of the applicant shall be current and there shall be no delinquent
property taxes nor any other delinquent assessments before said permits
or licenses are issued.
In addition to the above, this ordinance shall empower the City,
when three consecutive installments of taxes are due and payable but
delinquent, to revoke, suspend or refuse to issue the license or permit
until such time as all delinquent taxes or assessments have been paid
in full, including any interest charged by Gloucester City.
This ordinance supersedes all other ordinances or resolutions
inconsistent herewith.
This ordinance shall become effective upon passage and publication
according to law.
