No motor-driven or motor-drawn bus or omnibus vehicle, pole trailer, road tractor, truck or truck tractor or trailer, including all commercial vehicles, over the gross weight of five tons (10,000 pounds) shall park on any street within the City of Gloucester City or on or in any municipal parking lot of the City of Gloucester, at any time.
Any unoccupied vehicle parked in violation of § 87-36 of this ordinance shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any police officer may provide for the removal and storage of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable cost of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.

Every person convicted of a violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit and pay a fine of not less than $100 and not more than $1,250 for the first offense; for repeat offenses within a one-year period of the date of the first offense, there shall be an additional fine imposed which shall not be less than the minimum or exceed the maximum fine fixed for a violation of the ordinance, which shall be calculated separately from the fine imposed for the violation of the ordinance. For each repeat offense, the additional fine shall double until it reaches the maximum of $1,250.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication as required by law and upon the approval of the Director of Motor Vehicles of the State of New Jersey.[1]
