A. 
No minors shall enter any premises licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages unless accompanied by his or her parent or guardian, as provided hereinafter. This shall not apply to minors who are guests at bona fide hotels, motels or restaurants, or who enter a licensed premises where food is sold for the purpose of purchasing food, or who are required to enter a licensed premises in the course of their business or occupation.
B. 
Minors shall also be permitted to enter premises licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverage consumption, provided that the persons or entities to which the license is issued have received prior approval by formal resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of North Wildwood and have complied with the following requirements:
(1) 
There shall be a separate entrance and exit for minors if portions of the licensed premises are otherwise used for the sale and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages.
(2) 
There shall be no alcohol served in the area where minors are permitted or to which such minor would have access. Any alcohol stored in the area where minors are permitted or to which such minors shall have access shall be secured in a manner which shall ensure that the same shall be neither visible or accessible, and the means of securing such alcohol shall be approved by the Chief of Police of the City of North Wildwood or his designee, who shall have the sole and exclusive authority to either approve or disapprove the means of securing such alcohol.
(3) 
The premises shall pass an inspection by the Chief of Police of the City of North Wildwood or his designee to ensure that the premises are satisfactory for entrance and use by minors.
(4) 
The resolution permitting minors to be in the premises otherwise licensed for the consumption of alcoholic beverages shall contain such terms and conditions as are deemed appropriate by the City Council of the City of North Wildwood.
It shall be unlawful for a minor to purchase, attempt to purchase or have purchased for him or her, or have in his or her possession, any alcoholic beverage.
It shall be unlawful for anyone to purchase for or attempt to purchase for, or furnish or attempt to furnish to, a minor any alcoholic beverage; provided, however, that this section shall not apply to licensees, officers or employees of licensees in such cases where such licenses, officer or any employee thereof is engaged in the operation of the licensed premises.
It shall be unlawful for any minor to misrepresent or misstate his or her age for the purpose of inducing any licensee or employee or officer of the licensee to sell, serve or deliver alcoholic beverages to said minor.

Except as otherwise set forth in N.J.S.A. 33:1-1 et seq., any person violating any provision of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of not more than $2,000, or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 90 days, or community service for not more than 90 days, or any combination thereof.
