As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
SALVAGE YARD
That area used for the saving on a permanent or temporary basis of wrecked, damaged or abandoned vehicles.
STORAGE AREA
The exterior portion of property used for the depositing of articles, including but not limited to building or construction materials, motor vehicles or mechanical devices.
It shall be required that all open storage areas and open salvage yards shall be completely obscured from surrounding streets and property by a solid screen or opaque fence not less than six feet (1.83 millimeters in height), which is to be locked at all times when unattended and to include an unobstructed gate capable of admitting fire and emergency equipment.

Any action by any person, firm, corporation or other entity which violates or does not comply with any provision of this chapter or any regulation thereof shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, Code Enforcement.
