The York County Sheriff's Office, in its constant endeavor
to keep its members well informed, has prepared this security monitors'
manual. The regulations included in this manual are those which are
of primary concern to the individual security monitor and which will
materially broaden his or her knowledge and perception of the policies
and procedures that govern his or her actions and deeds.
Every member of this security unit of the York County Sheriff's
Office will be issued a security unit manual, and it is only with
individual cooperation and support that the intent and purpose of
the manual will be accomplished. The manual will enable each member
of the Department to have in his or her possession a comprehensive
source of information on those subjects which most directly affect
him or her. The manual will be serving its purpose when its provisions
are the common knowledge and practice of every member of this unit.
The unit's policies and procedures contained in this manual,
which may be cited and referred to as the "Security Manual," are applicable
to all members of the York County Sheriff's Office Security Monitor
Unit.
There can be no deviations made to the resolution passed by
the York County Board of Commissioners on the date of August 18, 1993,
entitled "York County Government Security Policy," by members of the Security Monitor Unit without the prior
written approval of the York County Board of Commissioners or its
designee.
The regulations established by the York County Sheriff will
not be amended without prior, written approval of the Sheriff.
