The operating committees shall be as follows:
A. 
Nominating Committee, as desired.
B. 
Executive Committee.
C. 
Investigative Committee.
Operating committees shall be appointed by the Chair of the Board, subject to the approval of the membership, and shall serve until the committees are dismissed or until their successors are appointed.
Each committee shall consist of not less than two Advisory Board members, together with the Chair of the Board, acting as a member ex officio.
Minutes of the actions of each committee shall be kept and reported to the Advisory Board at its next meeting by the Committee Chair or a substitute.
It shall be the duty of the Nominating Committee to consider individuals who may be deemed candidates for future positions on the Advisory Board and make recommendations to the Advisory Board. The names of the recommended candidates shall be forwarded to the York County Board of Commissioners for final consideration.
A. 
The Board, from time to time, may appoint investigative committees on subjects pertaining to the development of parks, programs, events, activities, the welfare of the Advisory Board and to items of special interest to or suggestions of users and friends of the York County Parks and Recreation system.
B. 
Each investigative committee may be composed of members of the Advisory Board, the community, representatives of civic clubs or others.
If the Advisory Board deems an Executive Committee to be desirable, an Executive Committee may be appointed, consisting of the Chair or Vice Chair, Advisory Board Secretary and one Advisory Board member at large, selected by the membership of the Advisory Board. The Executive Committee shall be authorized to act on behalf of the Board on all matters within the scope of the established policies of the Department and this Advisory Board.
Task forces, consisting of members of the Advisory Board, may be created to accomplish duties prescribed by action of this Advisory Board and shall function in a manner similar to the investigative committees.
