The Town of Raymond votes to become a member of the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission.
The objectives of the Commission are to provide for and encourage regional planning analyses, promote a consensus on problems of regional concern and assist with implementation of projects located within and which extend beyond the boundaries of member communities.
The Commission has only such authority as conferred on it by RSA 36:45 through 36:53 (1955), as amended,[1] and will serve in an advisory capacity representing the interests of the local governing body.

The Board of Selectmen shall appoint two representatives to the Commission from among those nominated by the Planning Board in accordance with state law, and they shall report to the next Town Meeting, and such report shall be entered into the Annual Town Report.
